Estuary Room
A comfortable room with the river right outside the window.
Pub. Rooms. Tide.
An old pub on Fowey's Town Quay, done up properly and still right on the water.
We're a pub with rooms on Fowey's Town Quay, the kind of place that's been part of people's lives here for years. That's exactly how we like it.
Teresa and the team took it on and gave it a proper freshen-up, without losing what made it a good pub in the first place. In the kitchen, Scott Williams sticks to doing the classics well, with a seasonal dish or two thrown in when the mood takes him.
Upstairs there are six bedrooms looking out over the estuary, handy if you fancy staying on after a day out along the coast.
A look at three of our six rooms, all of them with a view of the river.
A comfortable room with the river right outside the window.
Simple and comfortable, and quiet once the pub downstairs closes up.
Wake up to the tide going out, right below your window.
Scott and the kitchen team keep it fairly simple: the classics done well, with a seasonal dish thrown in when something good's in season. We're closed Mondays, open every other day, and Sundays are all about the roast.
Most of what's worth doing in Fowey is a short walk from here. Some of it's a short paddle instead.
Knightor Vineyard is a short drive away, and their wine shop is worth popping into if you've got the time.
Fowey's got a long history, and there's plenty worth seeing along this stretch of coast if that's your thing.
You'll eat well with us, and there's plenty more good food and drink just along the quay.
Paddleboards, kayaks and boat hire are all easy to find nearby if you fancy getting out on the water.
Fowey's got some good independent shops, worth a browse if you've got a spare half hour.
Fowey's got something on most of the year, regattas and festivals mostly. Ask us what's coming up while you're here.
This place has come back to life. The food's brilliant and we're already planning our next visit.Guest review, Fowey
